Half Term and we were off again ! Back to Northern Italy to visit friends and family, eat pizza, check the local gelletto and see a last bit of sunshine.
Worrybomb was well and truly treated to a first class departure with the Business Lounge, fast check in sitting in the front seats of the plane.
We arrived in the evening, headed to Venice to our hotel, got an upgrade, possibly due to a certain pirates name and then after a quick gaze out of the window we headed out to remind ourselves as to what Venice looked like. Then spritz or hot chocolate before bedtime 🙂

Then a wonder down to the centre of Venice via lots of little back alleys and book shops.

On the mainland, we kept near the water visiting the lagoon near the Circolo Nautico Laguna San Giorgio.
We visited Aquileia to see the Roman remains and to check out the mosaic floor of the church.
The thickest hot chocolate I have ever seen was had in the wonderfully fortified town of Palmanova.
Then a last nibble and stop on the way back to the airport to fly home.
